By accessing or using the Service (including browsing the Website, creating an account, submitting Content, or contacting a Vendor via the Service), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Definitions

“Couple” means engaged individuals seeking wedding services through the directory.

“Vendor” means wedding service providers listed on the directory.

“Listing” means a vendor’s profile and information displayed on the Website.

“Content” means text, images, photographs, videos, graphics, data, or other materials.

3. Description of Services

Kent Wedding Directory provides an online platform focused on Kent weddings that:

  • Connects engaged couples with wedding vendors and suppliers in Kent
  • Features curated listings of wedding service providers (including venues, photographers, florists, caterers, entertainment, and other wedding services)
  • Offers search and filtering functionality to help couples find suitable vendors
  • Provides vendor contact information and business details so couples can make enquiries directly
  • May include reviews, recommendations, featured content, and wedding planning resources

We are not an agency, broker, or a party to any contract between Couples and Vendors. The Service is intended to facilitate introductions and enquiries only.

4. User Accounts (Couples and Vendors)

4.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account (for example, to save favourites, submit reviews, manage a Vendor listing, upload photos, or respond to enquiries). You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4.2 Account Types

The Service offers different account types including:

  • Couple Accounts: For engaged couples (or wedding planners acting on their behalf) seeking wedding services
  • Vendor Accounts: For wedding service providers wishing to list and promote their businesses to couples planning Kent weddings

4.3 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.

4.4 Vendor Account Responsibilities

If you create or use a Vendor Account, you confirm that you have authority to act on behalf of the Vendor business you represent. You are responsible for keeping your listing information, availability indicators (if any), pricing information (if any), and contact details accurate and up to date.

5. Vendor Listings

5.1 Listing Requirements

Vendors agree that:

  • All information provided in listings must be accurate, current, and truthful
  • Listings must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Contact information must be valid and regularly monitored
  • Business credentials and certifications must be genuine
  • Photographs and content must be owned by or properly licensed to the vendor

5.2 Listing Standards

We reserve the right to:

  • Review and approve vendor listings before publication
  • Edit, modify, or remove listings that do not meet our standards
  • Remove listings containing inappropriate, misleading, or false information
  • Suspend or terminate vendor accounts that violate these Terms

5.3 Vendor Responsibilities

Vendors are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy and legality of their listings
  • All transactions and communications with couples
  • The quality of services provided to customers
  • Compliance with industry regulations and licensing requirements
  • Handling customer complaints and disputes

6. Prohibited Conduct

6.1 Prohibited Activities

Users agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading practices
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or intimidate other users
  • Spam or send unsolicited commercial communications
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without permission
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or related systems
  • Post false, defamatory, misleading, or malicious reviews or other Content

  • Create multiple accounts or manipulate listings to distort search results or visibility
  • Post false or misleading information about competitors
  • Submit listings or claims that misrepresent qualifications, experience, insurance status, certifications, prices, availability, or location
  • Solicit confidential or sensitive information from Couples inappropriately
  • Use contact information obtained through the Service for unauthorised purposes

7. Content and Submissions (including Reviews, Profiles and Photos) and Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including the Kent Wedding Directory name and branding, the Website design, layout, text, graphics, compilation of listings, and any content created by us) are owned by Kent Wedding Directory and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 User Content (Submissions)

The Service may allow you to submit Content, including (without limitation) Vendor profile information, business descriptions, pricing information, availability information, photos, logos, reviews, ratings, comments, messages, and other materials (“User Content”).

By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence (with the right to sublicense) to use, host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, for formatting and display), adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, publicly display, and distribute that User Content in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Service (including marketing the directory and sharing featured listings or reviews). You acknowledge that we may display your User Content publicly (for example, Vendor profiles and reviews) depending on how you submit it and the Service feature.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights, licences, consents, and permissions to submit the User Content
  • Your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights (including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights)
  • Your User Content is accurate (where it states facts), not misleading, and complies with these Terms and applicable laws

7.3 Content Removal and Moderation

We reserve the right (but do not have an obligation) to monitor, moderate, edit, restrict, or remove any User Content at any time if we believe it:

  • Violates these Terms or our policies
  • Infringes intellectual property rights or other rights
  • Is unlawful, offensive, abusive, defamatory, misleading, or inappropriate
  • Is suspected to be fake, incentivised without disclosure, or not based on a genuine experience
  • Could harm the integrity or reputation of the Service

Removing or moderating content does not mean we accept responsibility for the content posted by Users, and we do not guarantee that all content will be reviewed.

8. Reviews and Feedback

  • Investigate potentially fraudulent reviews

9. Third-Party Links and Services

We are not a party to any agreement between couples and vendors. All transactions, communications, and arrangements are solely between the relevant parties.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 Service “As Is”

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy, reliability, or availability

10.2 Directory Only / No Guarantee of Vendor Services

We provide a platform to help Couples planning Kent weddings discover and connect with Vendors. We do not provide wedding services ourselves and we do not control, manage, or supervise Vendors. Inclusion in our directory does not constitute an endorsement, verification, or recommendation.

We do not:

  • Verify or guarantee the credentials, qualifications, insurance, licences, or suitability of any Vendor
  • Guarantee the performance, quality, availability, timing, or reliability of any Vendor services
  • Guarantee that any Vendor will honour any quoted price, availability, or offer displayed on the Service
  • Guarantee that communications between Couples and Vendors will result in a booking or satisfactory outcome
  • Accept responsibility for Vendor services, acts, omissions, or conduct

10.3 User Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

  • Conducting their own due diligence on Vendors (including checking references, contracts, insurance, and licences)
  • Verifying Vendor information and asking questions before booking
  • Negotiating, agreeing, and signing contracts directly with Vendors
  • Ensuring Vendors meet their specific requirements and expectations

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Exclusion of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kent Wedding Directory shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Business interruption or loss of goodwill
  • Damages arising from user reliance on the Service
  • Disputes between users and vendors
  • The quality, suitability, safety, legality, or delivery of Vendor services
  • Any cancellations, postponements, changes, no-shows, or failures to perform by Vendors

11.2 Maximum Liability

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

11.3 Jurisdictional Limitations

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
  • We reserve the right to modify fees with reasonable notice
  • Failure to pay fees may result in listing suspension or removal

13.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment processors. We do not store payment card information.

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using account settings.

14.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service:

  • For violation of these Terms
  • For fraudulent or illegal activity
  • If required by law or regulatory authority
  • At our sole discretion with or without notice

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:
