Love on the Line is a husband and wife business based in Tunbridge Wells, hiring restored vintage telephones as audio guest books for weddings across Kent and East Sussex.

We didn't set out to start a company. Colin spent the best part of a year restoring an old GPO rotary phone and writing the code behind it, as a gift for my brother's wedding. Over sixty messages were left on it that night. We sat and listened to all of them the next morning, laughing and crying in about equal measure, and it was obvious other couples should have this too.

Every phone we hire is restored and built by hand at home. Colin does the restoration and the technical side, I look after our couples from the first message to the moment the recordings land in their inbox. There's no team, no warehouse and no call centre, just the two of us, which means we only ever take one booking per phone per day and your event gets our full attention.

We're not trying to be the biggest audio guest book company in the country. We'd rather stay local, keep the standard high and be the sort of supplier everyone is happy to see turn up.
